Hello! I'm Hannah Elaine.
I'm a whimsical watercolor and ink artist currently based in Metro-Detroit, Michigan.
Being creative and storytelling has been a integral part of my life from a very young age - so much so that my parents dubbed me 'Doodlebug' from the moment I could hold a pencil - a nickname they still call me to this day.
By working in primarily watercolor using light yet colorful monochromatic tones, I strive to bring a sense of nostalgia, joy and whimsy to my illustrations. I want my art to radiate the same level of happiness as waking up on Christmas Day as a child, or running through a meadow on a crisp spring day surrounded by vibrant wildflowers.
When I'm not constantly correcting my posture while hunched over my desk creating my next illustration, you can find me running and training for my next race, baking my famous Hannah Banana Bread or chocolate chunk cookies, playing with my two fur-babies, or spending time with my amazing husband, Ben.
